Odysse Electric Vehicles, one of India’s rapidly expanding premium electric two-wheeler makers, has announced a strategic partnership with Indofast Energy—a joint venture between Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. and SUN Mobility—to launch the battery-swapping-enabled version of its high-speed electric scooter, the SNAP.

The swappable battery-enabled SNAP is being introduced in major cities including New Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Mumbai, with plans for phased expansion to additional locations. Designed for urban commuters, the SNAP offers a peak motor output of 2,000 watts, a top speed of 55 km/h, and a range of up to 100 km per swap. It is equipped with a waterproof IP67-rated motor, cruise control, a CAN-enabled digital display for real-time updates, and a chassis tailored for Indian road conditions.

The highlight of this offering is its integration with SUN Mobility’s Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform, allowing users to simply swap their depleted battery for a fully charged one in under two minutes at any participating station. This approach not only ensures zero downtime but also reduces upfront costs as users pay only for the energy consumed. The BaaS model comes with subscription plans of INR 999/month for 25 kWh and INR 2,499/month for 75 kWh.

Other key benefits include lower maintenance through centralized battery management, reduced environmental impact via shared battery networks, and app-based features that help users locate swap stations and monitor battery usage.

Speaking on the partnership, Nemin Vora, CEO of Odysse Electric Vehicles, said, “Our collaboration with SUN Mobility started with the international launch of the Vader SM. With SNAP, we are now bringing that success home, offering an EV solution that is both rider-friendly and future-ready.”

Rajat Malhan, Senior Vice President of Indofast Energy, added, “Extending our collaboration to India through SNAP reinforces our goal of providing Indian riders with EV solutions that are convenient, cost-effective, and scalable.”

This partnership builds on Odysse and SUN Mobility’s previous success with the internationally launched Vader SM electric motorcycle, and now brings their shared vision of efficient, flexible electric mobility to the Indian mass commuter segment. The SNAP is now available at an ex-showroom price of INR 49,999, making it one of the most affordable high-speed e-scooters in the country when combined with the battery-subscription model.
