Odysse Electric Vehicles has launched its latest HyFy electric scooter with a starting price of INR 42,000 (ex-showroom Mumbai) aiming to address the needs of everyday commuters, students and last-mile delivery workers. The Odysse HyFy is designed to operate within the low-speed electric vehicle category, capped at 25 kmph, making it road-legal without requiring a driving licence or registration in many Indian states. It is powered by a 250-watt motor and can be configured with 48V or 60V lithium-ion and graphene batteries. Depending on the battery selected, it offers a claimed range of up to 89 kilometres and charging times between 4 and 8 hours.

Weighing just 88 kg, the scooter’s lightweight and compact dimensions improve manoeuvrability in congested city traffic. It supports a payload of up to 150 kg, making it viable for both personal and commercial use. Practical features such as cruise control, a digital LED meter, reverse mode and generous boot space aim to simplify daily travel. It also comes with a telescopic front suspension and spring-loaded rear suspension, a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear.

The HyFy is available in five colour options—Royal Matte Blue, Ceramic Silver, Aurora Matte Black, Flare Red, and Jade Green—providing buyers with some degree of personalisation. Odysse has also enabled keyless start and smart drive modes including parking and reverse functionality, further enhancing the ease of use for new riders.

The scooter will be made available through Odysse’s network of over 150 dealerships as well as online platforms starting from 10 May 2025. Early customers will be eligible for special discounts and warranty schemes.
