Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM), a leading Indian electric vehicle manufacturer, has announced the launch of its first international EV assembly facility in Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza), Dubai, marking a major milestone in its global growth strategy.

Spread over 42,000 square feet, the Jafza facility will assemble OSM’s range of electric two- and three-wheelers, alongside managing the storage and distribution of auto components and spare parts. Assembly operations are expected to begin by the end of 2025. The plant is strategically positioned to serve as a regional hub, benefiting from Dubai’s global connectivity and access to over two billion consumers. The project is set to generate over 100 jobs in its initial phase and strengthen UAE-India trade in clean technology.

Abdulla Al Hashmi, COO of Parks & Zones, DP World GCC, noted the significance of this investment, saying that with the MENA EV market projected to reach $ 14.5 billion by 2029, OSM’s facility brings innovative mobility solutions closer to the region and underlines Dubai’s role as a global automotive hub.

Uday Narang, Founder and Chairman of OSM, said the launch was a proud moment, coinciding with India’s Independence Day. He highlighted that Jafza offers unmatched scale, speed, and sustainability for OSM’s operations, and will enable the company to make clean mobility accessible and commercially viable across the Middle East and Africa.

While OSM’s focus is on EVs, the company also plans to introduce CNG-powered models for certain African markets, where such solutions may serve as a practical bridge until EV infrastructure is fully developed.

OSM’s current portfolio includes the OSM Rage+ three-wheeler cargo and OSM Stream passenger models, offering up to 270 km range, fast charging, battery swapping, and IoT-enabled fleet tracking. With more than 160 dealerships in India and over 20,000 vehicles already on the road, OSM aims to use Dubai as its global springboard for innovative and sustainable transport solutions.
