Riders from across India revved into action on the second Sunday of July to mark International Jawa-Yezdi Day, a celebration that has become a fixture in the country’s classic motorcycling calendar. What began as a grassroots, fan-driven initiative has grown into a full-fledged nationwide event, with over 6,000 riders from 12 states, 20 cities, 18 riding communities, and 120 Jawa Yezdi dealerships participating this year.
The day began with morning hill rides in Manipur and ended with sunset coastlines in Kochi and Konkan, with vintage and modern Jawa-Yezdi motorcycles lining city streets and highways in celebration. From the Capital Jawa Yezdi Club Delhi and Haryana Jawa Yezdi Club in the north, to BJYMC Bengaluru, Reborn Riders Chennai, and Smoking Barrels Trivandrum in the south, the turnout reflected the growing passion for these iconic machines.
Eastern riders from Manipur’s Jawa Yezdi Motorcycle Club, western groups like YJOC Western Maharashtra and Jawa Yezdi Club Pune, and communities in Mangalore, Nagercoil, Palakkad, Varanasi, Chandigarh, and Chhattisgarh added their own local flavour to the celebrations.

What made the event special was the mix of generations — veteran bikers riding 90s cruisers with tools in their saddlebags, and Gen Z enthusiasts capturing the moment on GoPros. This fusion of the old and the new created a shared sense of pride, memory, and purpose — united by their love for Jawa and Yezdi.
Sharad Agarwal, Chief Business Officer, Classic Legends, commented, “This growing wave of interest from younger riders shows how classic motorcycling is not about age or nostalgia but about character. Classic and neo-classic machines speak to something deeper.”
For Classic Legends, the day is more than a celebration — it’s a testament to the enduring appeal of these motorcycles. As riders continue to build traditions around their machines, International Jawa-Yezdi Day proves that classic never fades — it rides on.
