Pioneer India today launched its new Automotive 360° Surround View Camera System, marking a significant leap in enhancing driver safety and visibility for Indian road conditions. In a key strategic development, the company also announced its first OEM customer for this technology in India—highlighting a milestone in Pioneer's localisation and growth plans.

The advanced system is engineered to provide a seamless, real-time bird’s-eye view of a vehicle’s surroundings through four high-definition wide-angle cameras. It improves driver awareness, reduces blind spots, and aids in navigating tight spaces—factors increasingly critical in India’s urban traffic environments. The system features ultra-wide-angle lenses, advanced image stitching, low-latency processing, and a rugged build for durability in varied Indian road and weather conditions.

Designed for seamless integration, the system supports both standard and custom in-dash displays and includes fast auto-calibration to simplify installation. It can be incorporated into ongoing vehicle production as a running change or introduced with new models.

The product development and localisation were led by Pioneer’s Advanced R&D team in India, making this rollout not just a product milestone, but a significant chapter in Pioneer's Make-in-India journey. This is also the first time Pioneer’s proprietary surround camera technology is being deployed in India through a localised, fully integrated OEM program.

“This rollout is a proud moment for our team in India. It reflects our readiness to deliver complex, OEM-grade technology solutions with full local ownership — from concept and development to integration and execution,” said Aniket Kulkarni, Managing Director, Pioneer India.

Siva Subramanian, Executive Officer at Pioneer Corporation and CEO of the Mobility AI & Connectivity Business Unit, added, “India is a key strategic market for us. As we scale our camera and connectivity portfolio, we look forward to expanding partnerships with Indian OEMs to deliver intelligent, safety-enhancing in-vehicle experiences.”

The launch not only strengthens Pioneer's position in vehicle safety and ADAS solutions but also underscores its commitment to becoming a long-term technology partner to India’s automotive OEM ecosystem.
