Rapido, India’s largest ride-sharing platform, has announced a strategic partnership with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), a Central Public Sector Enterprise in the oil and gas sector, to deliver fuel and vehicle maintenance benefits for its Bike Taxi and Cab Captains.
Launched in Hyderabad at a joint event held at the Sri Mallikarjuna HPCL Station, the collaboration will initially cover the city before expanding to 11 more locations across India. Senior representatives from HPCL, its vehicle service brand HP Vaahn, and Rapido attended the announcement.
The programme is designed to support over 3.8 lakh Captains and includes:
- A 1.25% discount on fuel at all HPCL fuel stations in Hyderabad
- 50% off on HP Lubricants and the HP Vaahn Kit at select HPCL service points
Currently available at over 300 HPCL stations across Hyderabad—with lubricant and maintenance services at 10+ select centres—these benefits are expected to reduce running costs, improve margins, and encourage better vehicle upkeep among Rapido’s fleet.
Krishna Chaitanya Raghunathan, Director – Central Supply at Rapido, commented, “Our captains are at the heart of everything we do. This partnership with HPCL is a step forward in backing them with real, everyday benefits like fuel savings and lower maintenance costs that directly cut down their running expenses. It’s not just about easing financial pressure; it’s about helping them build more stability in their lives.”
