Renault Group has named Duncan Minto as the Interim Chief Executive Officer of Renault S.A. The decision made by the company’s Board of Directors comes as part of a leadership transition process with the search for a permanent CEO currently underway. Minto, who is also the Group’s current Chief Financial Officer, will take on the operational leadership of the company while Jean-Dominique Senard assumes the role of Chairman of Renault s.a.s., the operating arm of the group.
Minto brings over two decades of experience with the group, having joined Renault UK in 1997. His tenure has included several senior positions in finance across markets such as France, Portugal and Ireland, along with more recent leadership at Dacia and Alpine. He was appointed Group CFO in March 2025, becoming part of the core Leadership Team.
Renault has confirmed that the selection process for the next permanent CEO is actively progressing, overseen by the Governance and Remuneration Committee of the Board. While no timeline was disclosed, the interim appointment ensures the group’s day-to-day operations remain under consistent leadership.
The appointment comes just weeks ahead of Renault Group’s scheduled half-year financial results, set to be published on 31 July. Analysts expect the upcoming results to provide further insight into the company’s performance under its recent electrification strategy and restructuring initiatives.
