
Renault Group has announced the appointment of Stephane Deblaise as Chief Executive Officer of Renault Group in India, effective 1 September 2025. He will report to Francois Provost, Chief of Procurement, Partnerships and Public Affairs Officer, Renault Group.
Venkatram Mamillapalle, who currently serves as Managing Director of Renault India Private Limited (RIPL), will continue in his role and additionally support Deblaise on corporate affairs to shape Renault’s mid-term growth strategy in the region.
With more than two decades of experience within Renault, Deblaise brings deep global expertise in engineering, product planning and program leadership. He joined Renault Group in 2000 after beginning his career at Saft Batteries. Over the years, he has held several strategic roles across international markets, including Chief Vehicle Engineer for the Entry Program in Latin America, Vice President of Product Planning & Programs at Dongfeng-Renault in China, and Worldwide C&D Segment Program Director in France. In 2021, he was appointed Vice President, Renault Group Vehicles and Cross Car Line Program.
Since 2022, Deblaise has served as CEO of Renault Korea, where he steered critical transformation initiatives such as modernising the Busan plant for multi-energy vehicle production and repositioning the Korean operations as a development and production hub for global mid- and large-sized vehicles.
Renault Group’s decision to appoint Deblaise to lead its India operations underscores the country’s growing strategic importance in the Group’s global ambitions. His appointment comes at a time when the company is poised to accelerate its presence and performance in the competitive Indian automotive landscape.
