Renault India has launched the new Kiger with over 35 updates in design, technology and safety, positioning it as a stronger contender in the crowded sub-four metre SUV segment. Pricing for the updated Kiger starts at INR 6.29 lakh for the base variant and goes up to INR 11.29 lakh for the fully loaded turbo CVT models.

The new Kiger now features a refreshed front grille, sculpted hood, redesigned bumpers, LED headlamps, taillamps and fog lamps, along with 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. A new Oasis Yellow colour with a dual-tone finish has also been introduced.

Interior has been upgraded with ventilated leatherette seats, a dual-tone dashboard, improved upholstery, and better noise insulation for a more premium cabin feel. The SUV continues to offer generous space with 405 litres of boot capacity and segment-leading rear kneeroom, further supporting its appeal as a family car.

Technology has been another focus area, with the addition of a multi-view camera, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, a 20.32 cm floating touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, and a 3D ARKAMYS sound system. These inclusions aim to position the Kiger as a feature-rich option among rivals.

The SUV retains its two petrol engine options. The 1.0-litre turbocharged motor produces 98 bhp and up to 160 Nm of torque with a claimed fuel efficiency of 20.38 kmpl. The naturally aspirated 1.0-litre engine delivers 71 bhp and 96 Nm with 19.83 kmpl efficiency. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual, AMT, and a CVT with D-Step technology, designed to give a more natural feel during acceleration.

The new Kiger gets 21 standard features across all variants. This includes six airbags, electronic stability program, traction control, hill start assist, ISOFIX mounts, and three-point seat belts for all seats. These additions bring the compact SUV closer to meeting rising customer expectations around safety.
