KPIT Technologies has announced that Renault Group has selected it as a strategic software scaling partner for next-generation SDV programmes.
The company's two decades of experience in automotive and mobility software, cross-domain competencies, global scale, and ecosystem of alliance partners, along with the expertise in developing SDV roadmaps for several industry leaders, aids them in contributing to Renault Group's vision.
A press release from KPIT noted that Renault Group is making significant investments and strategic partnerships to develop an industry-leading SDV platform. The platform will drive Renault Group's global growth over the following decades, the release added.
The group expects the SDV technology programmes to drive value to its roadmap of vehicle production programmes that will start in 2026.
Kishor Patil, CEO, KPIT Technologies, said, 'Our vision is to Reimagine Mobility with industry leaders like Renault Group.'
Through its software technologies, the company aims to provide electrification, autonomous driving, and connected vehicle experiences to Renault consumers, he added.
Thierry Cammal, Alliance Global Vice President - Renault Software Factory and Managing Director, Renault Software Labs, noted that software is the force behind the automotive industry's transformation.
