Setco Automotive Limited, one of India’s largest MHCV clutch manufacturers and a leading supplier of truck products, has entered into a strategic collaboration with Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur to drive joint research and innovation in automotive technology.
Under the MoU, Setco and VNIT will collaborate on research projects focused on next-generation drivetrains, friction facing technology, electric mobility, and sustainable vehicle solutions. A dedicated Clutch Research Laboratory will be established at VNIT’s Mechanical Engineering Department to foster innovation in clutch systems, enhance durability and performance, and accelerate new product development.
The initiative will also provide VNIT students with valuable industry exposure through live projects, internships, mentorship, and access to advanced testing facilities.
