Skoda Auto India is shifting focus beyond major metros to tap into growing demand in tier-2 and tier-3 cities. The Czech carmaker currently operates 260 touchpoints across 150 cities and aims to expand this network to 350 touchpoints in 200 cities by the end of 2025. The company sees this as a pivotal move in its next phase of growth.
A key enabler has been the recently launched Kylaq, Skoda’s most affordable offering, priced under INR 10 lakh, which has attracted a new set of buyers previously out of reach for the brand. Looking ahead, Skoda is also evaluating CNG options for its turbo petrol engines, eyeing budget-conscious consumers in smaller cities. On the product front, facelifts for the Kushaq and Slavia are due this year, while the premium portfolio will see the return of the next-gen Superb and the debut of the new Octavia RS performance sedan.
