Steelbird Hi-Tech India Limited has ended the financial year 2024-25 with strong performance, recording sales of 8.7 million helmets and generating revenue of INR 787 crore. The company, widely recognised as the world's largest helmet manufacturer, has marked a 10.07 percent year-on-year growth and has now set a target of crossing the 10 million units mark in helmet sales in the current fiscal year.
The company’s manufacturing capacity has seen upgrades, particularly at its Baddi facility in Himachal Pradesh. Robotic visor systems, automated paint booths, and expanded assembly lines have enabled daily output to approach 50,000 units. Additionally, groundwork has begun for a new facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, which will serve OEMs and meet aftermarket demand in the southern region. This southern expansion is expected to reduce logistics time and cost, while supporting the company’s aim of becoming a nationwide supplier with equal reach in all markets.
In terms of product development, Steelbird has introduced new models featuring Bluetooth integration, better ventilation, and lightweight construction. These upgrades reflect the evolving expectations of consumers, especially among younger riders who are seeking both safety and comfort. Alongside helmets, the company has launched an expanded line of rider accessories, including gloves, goggles, and rainwear, indicating its intent to position itself as a comprehensive brand for motorcyclists.
The retail network has grown too, with over 200 exclusive Steelbird Rider Shops now operational across India. The company plans to expand this network to over 1,000 in the next few years. This retail strategy supports personalised service, on-ground product display, and better customer engagement, which is critical in a segment where fit and comfort play a major role in purchase decisions.
For FY 2025-26, Steelbird has set a revenue target of INR 900 crore and aims to reach a production milestone of 10 million helmets. The longer-term vision includes hitting 15 million units and crossing INR 1,300 crore in annual turnover by FY 2026-27.
