Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd has announced the launch of the updated Suzuki Avenis and Burgman scooter series, now fully compliant with the latest OBD-2B emission regulations. This development brings the entire scooter and motorcycle portfolio of Suzuki Motorcycle India in line with the updated norms.
The latest update on the Avenis introduces a Special Edition variant finished in a new Metallic Matte Black No. 2 and Matte Titanium Silver dual-tone colour scheme. This version is priced at INR 94,000 ex-showroom in Delhi. The standard Avenis remains available in four other colour options, including combinations like Glossy Sparkle Black with Pearl Mira Red and Champion Yellow No. 2. Both versions of the Avenis are powered by a 124.3cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, four-stroke engine delivering 8.6 bhp at 6,750 rpm and 10 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The scooter features Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technology and advanced fuel injection for better efficiency and responsiveness.
The Burgman scooter series also receives the OBD-2B upgrade. The Burgman Street EX variant stands out with the inclusion of Suzuki Eco Performance Alpha (SEP-α) technology. It includes additional features such as Engine Auto Stop-Start (EASS) and a Silent Starter System. The EX variant makes 8.5 bhp at 6,500 rpm and offers the same 10 Nm torque at 5,500 rpm. It also rides on a larger 12-inch rear wheel for improved stability and aesthetics. The EX model is now available in a new Metallic Matte Stellar Blue colour alongside two existing options and is priced at INR 1,16,200 ex-showroom Delhi.
The standard Burgman Street, priced from ex-showroom INR 95,800, is offered in two variants: the Standard Edition and the Ride Connect version. It comes with seven colour options, though some are exclusive to specific trims. Both variants share the same 124cc engine as the Avenis but with the cruiser-oriented design and a wider seat for comfort during long rides.
