Range Rover Sport SV Carbon has joined the British marque’s high-performance family. Making its global debut at Monterey Car Week on 13 August, the SV Carbon variant completes the newly expanded SV line-up, which now includes the standard SV and the stealth-inspired SV Black. With an emphasis on weight-saving measures and tailored finishes, this version seeks to bring carbon fibre to the fore.
At the core of the SV Carbon is a 626 bhp twin-turbocharged 4.4-litre V8 mild-hybrid engine delivering up to 750 Nm of torque. The powertrain enables the SUV to reach 290 kmph making it the fastest and most powerful Range Rover Sport variant to date. While the performance figures remain the same as in the earlier SV Editions, the SV Carbon brings a fresh aesthetic and functional upgrade with lightweight engineering and curated materials.

One of the most important enhancements is the optional 23-inch carbon fibre wheels that contributes to weight savings. The vehicle offers the choice of high-performance carbon ceramic brakes with eight-piston SV callipers available in four colour finishes. These hardware upgrades enhance handling, reduce energy loss and improve ride quality. All weight saving options fitted offer a total 76 kg weight reduction.
The exterior can be either standard Forged Carbon pack or an optional Twill Carbon finish, extending from the bonnet to touches around the quad exhausts. Customers can select from four body colours or delve into the SV Premium Palette for a more tailored appearance. This design flexibility continues inside the cabin, where forged carbon seatbacks, exposed trims, and illuminated SV logos create an immersive experience. Upholstery options range from Windsor Leather to Ultrafabrics for buyers preferring a sustainable, leather-free alternative.
The vehicle retains Range Rover’s 6D Dynamics Suspension system with interlinked air suspension to minimise pitch and roll during aggressive driving. This mechanical setup allows for stable cornering without compromising the ride comfort expected from the brand. Adding to this is the Body and Soul Seat (BASS) system, a multi-sensory audio platform that uses vibration and sound to create a more engaging drive and potential wellness benefits.
