Tata Motors is all set to commence bookings for the Harrier EV in India starting tomorrow. Launched recently with a starting price of INR 21.49 lakh (ex-showroom), the Harrier EV is India’s first mainstream electric SUV to feature an all-wheel-drive (AWD) configuration.
The electric SUV is available in two drivetrain options—rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (QWD)—spread across multiple variants such as Adventure, Adventure S, Fearless+, Empowered, and Stealth. The RWD variants start at INR 21.49 lakh, while the QWD versions are offered only in higher trims, priced from Rs. 28.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The AWD variant is equipped with a 75kWh battery pack and dual motors—a 156bhp unit at the front and a 235bhp unit at the rear—delivering a combined 504Nm of torque. Tata claims a range of up to 622km (MIDC) for the QWD variant. The RWD versions, powered by the same C75 battery pack, offer a range between 460km and 490km depending on the variant.
The Harrier EV not only offers impressive performance and range but also debuts Tata’s QWD (Quad Wheel Drive) technology, taking a major step forward in mainstream electric mobility in India.
