Tata Motors, in collaboration with its authorised distributor DIMO, has introduced its new range of passenger vehicles in Sri Lanka. The launch includes both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicle (EV) models, marking Tata Motors as the first passenger vehicle brand to enter the Sri Lankan market following its reopening.

The new lineup consists of Tata Motors' latest SUVs—the Tata Punch, Tata Nexon, and Tata Curvv—each designed with modern safety features and performance enhancements. Additionally, the automaker has launched the Tiago.ev, an electric hatchback aimed at making electric mobility more accessible in Sri Lanka. The introduction of these models follows Tata Motors’ success in electrification across India, Nepal, and Bhutan. In a further commitment to sustainable mobility, the company also provided an exclusive preview of the upcoming Punch.ev, Nexon.ev, and Curvv.ev, demonstrating its focus on EV technology.

Yash Khandelwal, Head of International Business, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd, stated that the new range is not only designed to meet local demand but to set benchmarks in design, technology, and safety. Khandelwal expressed particular enthusiasm about the Tiago.ev, positioning it as a breakthrough model in the push for widespread EV adoption.

Rajeev Pandithage, Executive Director, DIMO, assured customers of DIMO’s commitment to providing comprehensive after-sales service, including technical support, round-the-clock roadside assistance, and well-trained service personnel.

Tata Motors has announced competitive warranty policies for its new range. ICE vehicles will come with a manufacturer’s warranty of three years or 100,000 km, while electric models will receive a three-year or 125,000 km warranty. The high-voltage battery and motor in EVs will be further protected under an extended eight-year or 165,000 km warranty. Customers will also have access to Tata Motors’ repair manuals and software updates, ensuring a seamless ownership experience.

DIMO has made additional investments in advanced diagnostic tools and service infrastructure to enhance customer support. The company aims to uphold strict industry standards in vehicle repairs and servicing, reinforcing its reputation as Sri Lanka’s most trusted automotive partner.
