Tata Motors Launches Ace EV At INR 9.99 Lakh

Tata Ace EV

Leading CV maker Tata Motors on Monday launched the Ace EV starting at INR 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom, India, including FAME II subsidy and a five-year complimentary Tata Fleet Edge- fleet management solution.

On the sidelines of the event, the company also delivered the first 25 units of the LCV to logistics providers, including Amazon, Delhivery, DHL (Express & Supply Chain), FedEx, Flipkart, Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health, MoEVing, Safexpress and Trent.

Girish Wagh, Executive Director, Tata Motors, noted that the company plans to commence the retail deliveries of the product only after ensuring that the ecosystem for the product is created, which includes charging stations and training local mechanics on the servicing of the product.

To be manufactured at the company’s Pantnagar facility in Uttarakhand, at the time of unveiling in May, the Ace EV garnered a total of 39,000 bookings.

Wagh noted, “The introduction of the Ace EVs on Indian roads marks a big step forward in the journey towards zero-emission cargo mobility.”

The holistic solution co-created with the company partners effectively caters to various intra-city distribution needs and delivers a superior value proposition to all stakeholders, he added.

Initially launched in the cargo form, the ED noted that a tipper will the next to be launched.

Claiming a range of 154 kms, the Ace EV features a 27kW (36hp) motor with 130Nm of peak torque, with a cargo volume of 208 cubic feet and grade-ability of 22%.
