Tata Motors Launches CNG Variant Of 407 LCV At INR 12.07 Lakh

Home-grown commercial vehicles manufacturer Tata Motors on Monday announced the launch of the CNG 407 LCV. The new variant is priced at INR 12.07 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune). 

The new LCV is powered by a 3.8-litre CNG engine that uses fuel-efficient SGI engine technology with a maximum output of 85 hp and 285 Nm of torque at low rpm. The vehicle is available with a 10-feet cargo bed and a 180-litre capacity (it should be liters and not gallons fuel tank. For the convenience and in-cabin entertainment of the driver, the vehicle is equipped with a USB mobile charging port and a Blaupunkt music system.

Rudrarup Maitra, Vice President, Product Line, I&LCV, Tata Motors, said, “With a steep increase in diesel prices, CNG vehicles have the potential to increase the profit potential significantly, and we are confident that the 407 CNG, in addition to the widest CNG range offered by Tata Motors, will bring a lot of value to our customers.” The 407 range now comes loaded with the Fleet Edge – the company’s next-gen connected vehicle platform for optimal fleet management, increased uptime and lower TCO with a 2-year free subscription. 

The 407 CNG is offered with a 3-years / 3-lakh kilometres warranty. The company also offers Sampoorna Seva 2.0, a comprehensive service package and a complete solution for the upkeep and maintenance of Tata Motors commercial vehicles. 

Tata Motors says that the 407 CNG will offer profits of up to 35% over the diesel variant and further strengthen the vehicle makers’ extensive CNG portfolio, ranging from 5-tonne to 16-tonne gross vehicle weight (GVW), in the I&LCV segment.
