Tata Motors on Wednesday announced the roll-out of the 400,000th unit of its sub-compact SUV, Nexon from its Ranjangaon facility in Pune. To mark the occasion, the company also launched the XZ+ (L) variant of the Nexon at INR 11,37,900 (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

Available in petrol and diesel powertrains, with manual and automatic transmission options, the new trim level will feature a wireless charger, ventilated leatherette seats, air purifier and an auto-dimming IRVM, while also being offered in the Dark edition.

The popularity of the Nexon can be gauged from its production journey. The first 100,000 units of the Nexon were produced in one year and 10 months since its launch in September 2017. For the next 100,000 units, the company took another year and 11 months. However, the next two lakh units were produced in just 15 months with a growth rate of 72% YTD, the company claimed.
