Tata Technologies, a global leader in product engineering and digital services, has announced the third edition of its flagship engineering hackathon, InnoVent 2026, in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Centred around the theme Innovating the Future of Smart Mobility, the hackathon encourages participants to leverage cutting-edge tools such as AI, Generative AI, Agentic AI, IoT, Embedded Software, Cloud Computing, Digital Twins, and AR/VR. The goal is to build transformative, real-world solutions across domains such as software-defined vehicles, sustainable mobility, intelligent manufacturing, autonomous agents, connected ecosystems, and immersive experiences.

InnoVent 2026 promotes inclusive participation, welcoming entries from women engineers and differently abled students. The evaluation will take place in three phases—initial screening, virtual Proof of Concept (PoC) presentations, and final demonstrations. The most promising teams will receive mentorship from Tata Technologies experts and gain access to AWS cloud services, including workshops to support innovation at scale.

Warren Harris, MD and CEO of Tata Technologies, said, “Through this collaboration with AWS, we are fostering an ecosystem where young engineers can innovate for smarter, cleaner, and more connected mobility. I am looking forward to the extraordinary ideas that this year’s edition will bring to life.”

Projects will be judged on criteria including originality, feasibility, diversity, and potential impact, with added focus on physical prototypes and real-time use of agentic systems capable of adaptive learning and collaborative decision-making in mobility environments.

Top-performing teams will receive cumulative cash prizes worth INR 4.5 lakh, paid internships at Tata Technologies, and special recognitions for standout innovations. Submissions close on 30th July 2025, with full program details available at tatatechnologies.com/innovent.

Satinder Pal Singh, Head of Solution Architecture at AWS India and South Asia, remarked, “By providing access to AWS technologies and expert guidance, we aim to empower students to build scalable, real-world mobility solutions.”

Santosh Singh, President & Global Head of Marketing and Business Excellence at Tata Technologies, added, “InnoVent enables students to upskill and innovate on the frontlines of mobility transformation. This year’s focus on Agentic AI underlines the importance of intelligent, autonomous solutions in shaping the industry’s future.”
