Marking two decades of its Apache brand, TVS Motor Company has launched the 2025 version of the RTR 200 4V, now compliant with OBD2B norms. This latest update includes crucial hardware revisions and subtle feature additions that aim to improve both control and comfort without disturbing the core character that has kept the model relevant since 2016.
At the heart of the upgrade is a new 37mm upside-down front suspension setup, a step forward in improving front-end stability and feedback. Alongside this, TVS has introduced a hydroformed handlebar, which claims to enhance handling precision across varied terrain. The core powertrain remains untouched, with the 197.75cc single-cylinder engine continuing to produce 20.5 bhp at 9000 rpm and 17.25 Nm of torque at 7250 rpm. The engine is now certified to meet OBD2B compliance standards, marking the Apache RTR 200 4V’s readiness for future emission mandates without altering its existing performance characteristics.

Visually, the new red alloy wheels and updated graphics bring a fresher identity to the familiar form, and buyers can now choose from Glossy Black, Matte Black, and Granite Grey. These minor changes continue the Apache series’ practice of subtle design shifts that do not alienate its existing rider base. At a starting price of INR 1,53,990 (ex-showroom Delhi), TVS appears to have balanced the cost of these improvements without significant escalation.
It includes three ride modes, Urban, Sport, and Rain, along with dual-channel ABS, a race-tuned slipper clutch, adjustable levers, Bluetooth-enabled SmartXonnect connectivity, and a fully digital display. There is also a segment-first voice assist feature, reinforcing the brand's consistent attempt to merge performance with modern-day functionality.
