To develop the public charging ecosystem for TVS iQube Electric across India, the manufacturer of the e-2wheeler, TVS Motor Company, has entered into a strategic partnership with Convergence Energy Services.

The company’s MoU with CESL, a 100% owned subsidiary of EESL, is in line with its commitment of expanding the presence of TVS iQube Electric in over 20 cities by the end of FY 2021-22. As part of the partnership, CESL will help strengthen the charging infrastructure in these cities for the electric scooter customers.

The two companies inked the deal on World Environment day this year, making the OEM the first two-wheeler manufacturer to partner with CESL.

Manu Saxena, Vice President, Future Mobility & Dealer Transformation, TVS Motor Company, said, CESL is a significant initiative of the Government of India to make public charging infrastructure available to the citizens of India. The company will continue to contribute to India’s electric adoption, staying true to its brand purpose, TVS IQUBE CHARGE LIFE. According to him, the TVS iQube Electric will be available this year in over 20 Indian cities. In addition to its home charging options, the TVS dealership charging network, and the emerging public charging ecosystem with players like CESL will accelerate India’s EV journey, he added.
