Ultraviolette has announced a significant firmware update for its F77 electric motorcycle by introducing the Gen3 Powertrain and a new performance mode called Ballistic+. The update is built upon over 8 million kilometres of live riding data.

The core of this improvement lies in Ultraviolette’s connected intelligence system Violette A.I., which has been analysing real-world data across riding patterns, throttle usage and varying road conditions. This has allowed the company’s engineers to fine-tune the interaction between the vehicle control unit, battery system, motor and drivetrain to unlock sharper acceleration and stronger initial torque delivery.

The new Ballistic+ mode has been introduced as part of this update and offers an even more engaging riding experience. While previous updates focused on safety and control with features such as traction control, hill hold and regenerative braking, this new firmware is aimed at performance. According to the company, the F77 now reacts more intuitively and delivers quicker acceleration, especially in the initial throttle response, making city riding and high-speed bursts feel more urgent and dynamic.

What makes this development stand out is the idea that a motorcycle can evolve based on rider behaviour and technical feedback collected during actual use. The F77’s Vehicle Control Unit captures over 3,000 data points in real time, which are then processed by the AI engine to generate smarter updates. This approach not only improves performance but also reflects a shift in how vehicles are engineered and maintained in the electric age.

Ultraviolette has confirmed that the Gen3 firmware and Ballistic+ mode are backward-compatible, meaning all current F77 owners will receive the upgrade without needing new hardware or payment.
