Volvo Group India marked Pride Month with a vibrant series of events that reinforced its commitment to building an inclusive and respectful workplace. Centred around the theme #PrideAtWork, the celebrations culminated in the company’s second annual Pride March at its Bengaluru office in Bagmane Tech Park. With rainbow flags held high, employees, allies, and leadership walked together in a powerful display of solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community.
The month-long programme included awareness sessions, storytelling circles, and a compelling talk by acclaimed Kannada author and LGBTQ+ advocate Vasudhendra Shroff. His reflections on identity, authenticity, and belonging encouraged employees to reflect more deeply on empathy and inclusivity in the workplace.
Since launching its Pride initiative in 2023, Volvo Group India has steadily expanded its inclusion efforts, weaving diversity into daily practices and culture. The current Pride Month activities not only built on this momentum but also highlighted a growing culture of allyship across the organisation.
Kamal Bali, President & Managing Director, Volvo Group India, said, “Volvo Group India is committed to creating a workplace that’s not only diverse by design but also inclusive by choice. Celebrating Pride Month is one of many steps we’re taking to ensure that everyone—regardless of identity—feels welcome, seen, and celebrated. As we move forward, we remain steadfast in driving meaningful inclusion, inside our organisation and beyond.”
Through initiatives like Pride Month, Volvo Group India continues to foster a workplace where every employee is encouraged to be their true self—building not just inclusion, but a stronger, more empathetic culture.
