India Yamaha Motor has introduced the updated 2025 MT-15 Version 2.0 with a handful of technical upgrades and bold new colour options aimed at young street-riding enthusiasts. With prices starting at INR 1.69 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the popular 155cc naked motorcycle receives digital connectivity and rider assistance while retaining its core engineering package.

The highlight of this update is the inclusion of a colour TFT display with Turn-by-Turn Navigation on the DLX variant. This feature, previously available on the sportier R15M, comes in response to customer demand and enhances the bike’s everyday utility. The TFT screen works in tandem with Yamaha’s upgraded Y-Connect mobile app that now offers access to real-time features like Maintenance Recommendations, Parking Location, Fuel Consumption tracking, Malfunction Alerts, a Revs Dashboard, and even a Rider Ranking system.

Yamaha has expanded the colour palette with three new shades. The DLX variant now gets Ice Storm and Vivid Violet Metallic while the standard version introduces Metallic Silver Cyan alongside the existing finishes.

The 2025 MT-15 retains the 155cc liquid-cooled engine featuring Variable Valve Actuation. It continues to deliver 18 bhp at 10,000 rpm and 14.1 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox equipped with Assist and Slipper Clutch. The Traction Control System adds a further layer of safety for newer riders or challenging road conditions. The Delta Box frame and aluminium swingarm help maintain the motorcycle’s reputation for agility and sharp handling, aided by its low kerb weight of 141 kg.
