Yuma Energy has announced a major milestone with over 35 million battery swaps completed and a rapidly growing network of 2,000+ swapping stations across 400 locations in 17 cities.
Since its launch in February 2023 with just 85 stations, Yuma has expanded its footprint 20-fold, reflecting the surging demand for EV-ready infrastructure across India’s urban centres. Its scalable network addresses critical barriers to adoption such as high upfront battery costs, charging downtime, and range anxiety—especially for two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and last-mile logistics operators.
“Our growth reflects not only the trust of thousands of EV users and fleet partners but also the pace at which India is embracing battery swapping as the most practical, efficient, and scalable solution for urban mobility,” said Muthu Subramanian, GM & MD, Yuma Energy.
Driving EV Adoption
Battery swapping is fast emerging as a game-changer in India’s EV transition by enabling quick swaps in minutes, predictable costs, and reliable availability. Yuma’s model empowers drivers and fleet operators with affordable, flexible, and dependable energy access—making EV ownership easier than ever.
Future Plans
Looking ahead, Yuma Energy will deepen its presence in existing cities while entering new markets, with a long-term commitment to building India’s largest battery swapping infrastructure aligned to the country’s clean mobility vision.
