Audi is setting a new benchmark in the automotive industry by introducing its Q6 e-tron model, which is not just another milestone in electric mobility but also a significant step in automotive lighting technology.

A Leap In Lighting Design

More than just illumination, active digital light is an integral part of the vehicle's communication with the driver and the outside world. The active digital light signature, an optional feature, breathes life into the vehicle's appearance, making it appear as if it's almost sentient. This innovation represents a perfect fusion of Audi's lighting design and cutting-edge technology, where the lights are not just seen but felt, adding a new dimension to its design ethos.

The front and rear lights of the Q6 e-tron are designed to interact dynamically, reflecting the vehicle's 'brain activity' through constant movement, thanks to a sophisticated algorithm that modulates the light intensity across various segments. This interaction ensures that the light signature maintains a consistent brightness while displaying a mesmerising dance of illumination.

Digital OLED 2.0: Elevating Rear Light Functionality & Communication

Audi's second-generation digital OLED technology is a game-changer for rear lighting. Each rear light comprises six OLED panels with 360 segments, allowing intricate and dynamic light displays. This technology not only enhances the vehicle's aesthetics but also plays a crucial role in safety.

The car-to-x communication enabled by these lights can convey vital information to other road users, significantly improving road safety.

The digital OLED rear lights are not just about visibility but interaction. They can display warning symbols and engage in communication light functions, alerting the driver and surrounding traffic to potential hazards, thereby adding an extra layer of safety.

Personalisation At Its Best

The Audi Q6 e-tron takes customisation to a new level, allowing drivers to choose from up to eight digital light signatures for the Matrix LED headlights and the digital OLED rear lights 2.0. This personalisation extends to Coming Home and Leaving Home functions, which can be coordinated with the selected light signature, creating a unique and welcoming experience every time you approach or leave the vehicle.

The myAudi app introduces an additional layer of customisation, enabling drivers to select and experience their chosen light signatures from outside the vehicle. This personal touch extends to the vehicle's safety features, with the communication light and proximity detection functions being customisable through the app, enhancing both the aesthetic appeal and the functional utility of the vehicle.
