India Yamaha Motor (IYM) Pvt Ltd has released the AEROX 155 Version S, a new iteration of its popular Maxi-Sports Scooter, now equipped with advanced Smart Key technology. Priced at INR 150,600 (ex-showroom, Delhi), this latest model is set to excite the riding experience in urban environments.
The AEROX 155 Version S stands out with its Smart Key system, which includes features such as Answer Back, Unlock, and an Immobiliser. This technology allows riders to locate their scooter in crowded areas with flashing blinkers and a buzzer, simplifies the start-up process through keyless ignition, and enhances vehicle security by preventing unauthorised access. The scooter's Smart Key system ensures that it remains operational only within the proximity of the key, thereby significantly enhancing security against potential theft.
The new colour shades complement the scooter's bold and athletic design, making it a stylish choice for modern riders. The AEROX 155 is renowned for its performance, powered by a 155cc Blue Core engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) and a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). This setup enables the scooter to produce a maximum power output of 14.8 bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 13.9 Nm at 6,500rpm. The scooter also features a Traction Control System (TCS), making it suitable for both bustling city streets and leisurely highway cruising.
