Air India has provided a peek into how its new livery will look on the carrier's brand-new Airbus A350 jetliners by posting pictures of the aircraft in Airbus' paint booth in Toulouse, France.

The aircraft's images were posted on the social media platform X. 'Our A350s start coming home this winter,' Air India tweeted from its official handle.

The airline placed orders with Airbus in June this year for six A350-900 and 34 A350-1000 wide-body jets as part of a larger order for 250 Airbus jetliners. At that time, the Tata-owned airline had said it expected deliveries of its first A350-900 to commence before the end of 2023.

The A350-900 can accommodate 352 passengers in a 3-class configuration. It can fly efficiently on everything from short-range segments to ultra-long-range routes of up to 18,000km non-stop.

The larger A350-1000 features a seven-metre longer fuselage, which allows it to accommodate over 400 passengers in a 3-class arrangement.
