Ampere, part of the Greaves Electric Mobility division, have announced price cuts on three of its electric scooters that are currently on sale in the market. The Magnus LT has received a price cut of Rs. 9,000 while the Reo Li Plus and Magnus EX have become cheaper by Rs. 10,000.
Following the price cuts, the Reo Li Plus costs Rs 59,900, the Magnus EX is priced at Rs 94,900, and the Magnus LT will set you back by Rs 84,900. These price cuts are applicable on the ex-showroom cost of these scooters and are effective immediately.
Ampere is expecting to witness a rise in the demand of these scooters following the price cut. However, these price cuts were expected considering many other electric scooter manufacturers have also slashed prices, including market leader Ola Electric.
Ampere is also hoping to make inroads in the premium segment with its new launch, the Nexus EX and the Nexus ST. These scooters have a 3kWh, LFP battery that powers a 4kW motor. The scooter can cover 136km in a single charge and hit a top speed of 93kmph
