BMW Enhances 6 Series GT Range With A New 620d M Sport Signature Variant

The 620d M Sport Signature is locally produced at BMW’s facility in Chennai.


BMW India has introduced a new variant in the 6 Series GT lineup. Called the 620d M Sport Signature, it is priced from Rs. 78.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The M Sport Signature version was previously available only with the petrol powertrain.

With this update, the 6 Series is available in four variants, namely 630i M Sport, 630i M Sport Signature, 620d M Sport, and 620d M Sport Signature. The 630i range is powered by a petrol engine while the 620d range gets a diesel engine.

Exterior highlights of the new 620d M Sport Signature include BMW’s laserlight headlamps, LED taillights, five twin-spoke alloy wheels, kidney grille, and blacked-out window line and B-pillar. The range of hues offered with this car are Mineral White, Tanzanite Blue, Skyscraper Grey, and Carbon Black.

The interior of the BMW 6 Series 620d M Sport Signature comes equipped with a Dakota Cognac interior theme and exclusive stitching, dual 12.3-inch screens, comfort seats with electric seat adjustment, memory function, and lumbar support; soft-close doors, hands-free tailgate opening function, rear entertainment professional package, remote control parking, and a panoramic sunroof. Further, it is loaded with four-zone climate control, electrically adjustable sun blinds, ambient lighting, and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon-sourced music system. Also up for offer is an air suspension setup and multiple drive modes.

The BMW 620d M Sport Signature sources firepower from a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine that is tuned to develop 188bhp and 400Nm of torque. Paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, the model can reach speeds of 100kmph from a standstill in 7.9 seconds.
