BMW India Launches X3 With Diesel Powertrain

Powered by a two-litre four-cylinder diesel engine, the BMW X3 produces an output of 190 hp and a maximum torque of 400 Nm at 1,750 – 2,500 rpm.

BMW India has launched the X3 with diesel powertrain in two variants, xDrive20d xLine and xDrive20d M Sport, priced at INR 67.5 lakh and INR 69.9 lakh, ex-showroom, India, respectively.

Powered by a two-litre four-cylinder diesel engine, the BMW X3 produces an output of 190 hp and a maximum torque of 400 Nm at 1,750 – 2,500 rpm. Paired with an eight-speed automatic Steptronic sport transmission, the engine aids the SUV to accelerate from 0 -100 kmph in 7.9 seconds with a top speed of 213 kmph. The vehicle further gets comfort, eco pro and sport driving modes.

In terms of features, the SUV boasts of the 12.3 inch screen instrument cluster and a control display running BMW Operating System 7.0 which includes 3D Navigation, BMW Gesture Control and Wireless Apple CarPlay / Android Auto among others. It further gets Head-Up display, wireless charging for mobile phones and a 464W Harman Kardon Surround Sound system 16 speaker with individually adjustable equalizing. 

Parking Assistant Plus with 360 camera, Auto Start-Stop, Brake-Energy Regeneration, Active Air Stream Kidney Grille, Electronic Power Steering, 50:50 Weight Distribution and Driving Experience Control switch are some of the key features of the product.

The safety features include six airbags, Antilock Braking System (ABS) with brake assist, Attentiveness Assistance, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), electric parking brake with auto hold, side-impact protection, electronic vehicle immobiliser and crash sensor, Dynamic braking lights, ISOFIX child seat mounting and integrated emergency spare wheel under the load floor.

Vikram Pawah, President, BMW Group India, noted that the X3 has been a trailblazing success in the premium mid-size SAV segment.
