BMW India Registers Its Best Ever Half-Yearly Sales Across Entities

BMW India saw significant contribution of nearly 50% coming from the locally produced Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) range including the X1, the X3, the X4, the X5 and the X7.

German vehicle maker BMW India has announced its best-ever half-yearly sales performance, having delivered 5,570 units of four-wheelers and 3,114 units of two-wheelers between January and June 2022.

A press release from the company said that the Indian entity saw significant contribution of nearly 50% coming from its locally produced Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) range including the X1, the X3, the X4, the X5 and the X7. Additionally, the 3 Series Gran Limousine and 5 Series garnered good demand in their respective segments, it added.

MINI India too saw its H1 sales jump 50% YoY, with the locally produced Countryman commanding a share of over 45% in sales, the company said.

Further, the two-wheeler entity of the company registered a claimed growth of 56.7% with the BMW G 310 R and BMW G 310 GS commanding a share of around 90%, the company added.

Vikram Pawah, President, BMW Group India said that a majority of products are sold out and the company is trying its best to match the huge demand. “The order books are full and the pipeline for coming months is quite solid. In the meanwhile, we are maintaining absolute transparency across the country on delivery timelines and are ensuring a premium experience that is full of joy at each step,” he added.
