BMW Launches M4 Competition Coupé At INR 1.44 Cr, Ex-Showroom

The German luxury car manufacturer BMW India has on Thursday announced the launch of the M4 Competition Coupé. Available as a CBU unit, the car has been priced at INR 1.44 crore, ex-showroom.

Under the hood, the car gets a new 3.0-litre straight-six engine with the latest M TwinPower turbo technology mated to an eight-speed M Steptronic gearbox, capable of producing 510 hp and 650 Nm of torque at 2,750-5,500 rpm. The company claimed that it enables the car to reach 0-100 kmph in 3.5 seconds.

The car gets a large vertical grille with seven double-horizontal slats complemented by a pair of adaptive LED headlamps with laser lights. While at the rear, it gets a boot-mounted spoiler, a sharply sculpted rear bumper with a multi-channel diffuser, and a pair of black chrome round tailpipes.

It also gets a carbon fibre-reinforced plastic roof, while customers can choose between 19 or 20-inch forged alloy wheels.

Inside the car features a 12.3-inch digital instrument screen, a 10.25-inch infotainment display, 3-zone automatic climate control, 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, ambient lighting, head-up display, powered front seats with memory function and lumbar support, wireless charging and phone integration, among others.

The inside is upholstered in all-black Merino leather, with several upholstery and trim options available as extras.

On the safety front, the car comes with six airbags, ABS, Dynamic Stability Control, ABS, Automatic Stability Control, M Dynamic Mode, Cornering Brake Control, Dynamic Brake Control, Dry Braking function and Active M Differential.

Furthermore, customers can add the Driving Assistant Professional package, BMW display key, M compound brakes, gesture control, BMW drive recorder, exterior carbon fibre package, and M racetrack package.

Available in Skyscraper grey, Portimao Blue, Black Sapphire, Sao Paulo Yellow, Toronto Red and Alpine White in non-metallic, as standard, customers can also opt for Tanzanite Blue, Dravitgrey, Aventurine Red, Frozen Brilliant White, Frozen Portimao Blue.
