Warren Buffett-backed EV maker BYD announced its partnership with Indian e3W charging network players to enhance customer convenience and experience for re-charging EVs.

Under this partnership, Chargezone, with its 650 EV charging stations across 25 cities, will provide its public charging network on National Highways to BYD customers, a press release from the company stated.

The Volttic EV Charging, with 300 charging points including Bharat AC01, Type 2, Bharat DC01 & CCS2 EV Chargers pan India will be a vital partner of BYD, the release added.

Additionally, IndiPro will also provide charging facilities across India to the vehicle maker’s customers through their charging network, it said.

Sanjay Gopalakrishnan, Sr Vice President - Electric Passenger Vehicle Business - BYD India, said, “By enabling easy and convenient charging stations across major cities and highways, we will be supporting our customers in a smooth and happy electric driving experience. We will keep expanding the charging networks together with our partners.”

BYD currently offers the e6 in India, which is equipped with a 71.7 kWh Blade Battery with a WLTC (city) range of 520km.
