BYD India has collaborated with Shoffr, a premium all-electric taxi service in Bengaluru, to supply 50 BYD e6 electric passenger vehicles.
The first batch of 20 BYD e6 vehicles was officially handed over in Bengaluru. The remaining 30 vehicles are set to be delivered over the next month.
Sanjay Gopalakrishnan, Senior Vice President of Electric Passenger Vehicle Business, BYD India, said, 'We are delighted to partner with Shoffr, as it perfectly aligns with our unwavering commitment to advancing sustainable mobility across regions.”
Vikas Bardia, Founder and CEO, Shoffr, stated, 'We are excited to strengthen our partnership with BYD India and continue building Shoffr as the gold standard of rides.'
Powered by a 71.7 kWh Blade battery, the e6 comes with a claimed range of 415 km on a single charge, while the 70kWh electric motor offers a torque of 180 Nm and a top speed of 130km/h.
