A consumer has levelled allegations against Ola Electric about the breach of privacy of integrity and data. He has also sent a notice to Ola Electric for taking down the telemetry data the start-up had published as an aftermath of an Ola Electric Scooter meeting an accident.

Balwant Singh, the consumer, posted on Twitter, 'My notice to OlaElectric to immediately take down my telemetry data which they have published in public without my consent violating privacy laws & the graphs whose authenticity has not been verified by me/ law agencies. Failure to do so, I will take legal action against Bhavish Aggarwal.'

The customer had earlier alleged that the Ola Electric scooter delivered to him had faulty brakes. Ola Electric, in response, had noted that the customer was speeding and had applied the brakes in panic. Apparently, the start-up was able to figure this out using the data generated by the scooter involved in the accident.

Singh, in an email to Ola Electric, noted that the data-sharing clause signed between the two parties was for private usage and was not meant to be made public. He also noted that an Ola Electric executive had said no to sharing data with Singh as the same was proprietary to Ola Electric. Singh, giving examples of the judgments made by the Supreme Court, also noted that the company was eligible to share data with law enforcement agencies or insurance agencies.

Singh, via another tweet, has also requested Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road & Transport, India, to go through the complaint against the Ola Scooter. 'Request to Nitin Gadkari Sir Committee to go through 100+ customer retweets on my profile for customer testimonials of Ola Electric malfunctions. OLA is a 2012 Toyota/Lexus USA recall in making! Accepted by Bhavish Aggarwal himself in Report, HYPER MODE in OLA is dangerous, unsafe & illegal,' read his tweet.
