Leading tyre maker Continental Tires continues to expand its retail presence in India, with three new image shops in Tamil Nadu. The CPD stores are situated in Coimbatore, Tirupur, and Erode.

With the opening of these three new stores, Continental's total CPD stores have hit the 200 mark in the country. Interestingly, 71 of these 200 CPD stores are located in South India.

Apart from retailing Continental’s wide range of passenger vehicle tyres for cars and SUVs, the stores feature a workshop to handle all tyre and vehicle-related services. Each of these shops caters to all types of vehicle segments - Passenger and Light Truck (PLT), 4x4, and SUVs. Further, the image shop at Erode can also service truck tyres in its shop.

Gradually, the company is planning to increase its retail footprint to the remaining part of the State and remaining States of South India, noted Rajnish Kochgave, Head of Sales and Marketing, PLT division, Continental India.

“With an area of 3,600 sq ft, 2,200 sq ft, and 3,600 sq ft at disposal at respective locations, these stores offer various services and will continue to expand the portfolio to provide an exhaustive range of Continental products. It will also include our new ComfortContact CC6, UltraContact UC6, and CrossContact AX6 ranges, along with the latest technologies and equipment in tyre services,' Kochgave said.
