Delta Delivers 6,000th EV Charger In India

Delta has supplied more than 1,000 chargers under agreement with Tata Power Company, has installed over 60 EV chargers for several sites operated by EESL and supplied 114 EV chargers to BESCOM.

Delta, a power and thermal management solutions company, announced that it has delivered over 6,000 electric vehicle (EV) chargers to customers in India. 

The company credited its partners, including Tata Power, Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM), BPCL and Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), and various OEMs, as the reason behind achieving the feat.

Delta India is also working on battery swapping systems for electric scooters, and fast chargers for EVs, noted Benjamin Lin, President & GM, Delta Electronics India. He said, 'We intend to increase the localised content of our product and solution offering to 80% within a few years.”

The company claims to have achieved 50% localised content in its products in India. Further, Delta has delivered over one million EV chargers worldwide since 2009. In numbers, Delta has supplied more than 1,000 chargers under agreement with Tata Power Company o far, has installed over 60 EV chargers for several sites operated by EESL, and has supplied 114 EV chargers to BESCOM.
