Elektrobit

Elektrobit, a leading provider of automotive software, has announced the release of EB zoneo GatewayCore, a groundbreaking software product designed to optimise and simplify the use of modern microcontrollers within automotive electrical/electronic architectures. This software supports the Classic AUTOSAR standard and is available on Infineon’s advanced AURIX™ TC4x microcontrollers.

The EB zoneo GatewayCore is engineered to bridge the existing gap between hardware-dependent accelerators and the Classic AUTOSAR framework, offering flexible support for complex routing scenarios. This integration facilitates significant improvements in processing latency, CPU load reduction, and power efficiency for automotive networking tasks.

Key Benefits

Utilising hardware accelerators from the Infineon AURIX TC4x series, EB zoneo GatewayCore dramatically accelerates data routing tasks such as CAN-to-CAN or CAN-to-IEEE1722, achieving minimal latency without burdening the CPU. The software reduces the complexity, time, and costs associated with configuring networking gateways, allowing OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to allocate resources more efficiently.

The collaboration with Infineon ensures that EB zoneo GatewayCore is perfectly aligned with the hardware capabilities of the AURIX TC4x microcontrollers, optimizing both performance and integration ease. This collaboration underscores a shared commitment to enhancing automotive technology, particularly in the areas of eMobility, ADAS, and secure E/E architectures.

Lars Wemme, Vice President of ADAS, Chassis & EE-Architecture at Infineon, said, the EB zoneo GatewayCore combined with Infineon’s AURIX TC4x delivers the powerful one-two punch OEMs need to develop next-generation in-vehicle networks.

Mike Robertson, Chief Product Officer and Managing Director at Elektrobit, highlighting the streamlined integration process, said, with EB zoneo GatewayCore and Infineon’s AURIX TC4x the company is streamlining the process and making it easier for carmakers to introduce new vehicle functions that require high-speed, reliable, and secure in-vehicle networks.

The introduction of EB zoneo GatewayCore marks a significant step forward in the development of more efficient and sophisticated automotive network systems. As the industry continues to evolve towards more advanced electronic architectures, tools like EB zoneo GatewayCore will play a crucial role in enabling the rapid deployment of new technologies and functionalities within the automotive sector.
