Hyundai Motor India (HMI) has announced that the upcoming Ioniq 5 will feature power adjustable with lumbar support for the front seats. In addition, the rear row gets a sliding function and can move back by 135mm.

A press release from HMI noted that every seat in the vehicle is equipped with a memory function while the rear passengers can also push forward the front co-passenger seat using a button.

Based on the group’s G-EMP, a grounds-up EV platform, the Ioniq 5 features a flat floor, enhancing the cabin space compared to other ICE of similar size. The platform also allows for a sliding centre console that caters to up to 140 mm of travel.

Unsoo Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India, noted that the BEV has been developed to maximise interior space, thereby enhancing customer’s lifestyle and becoming a home away from home – not just another means of transportation.

Earlier, the company has announced that the Ioniq 5 will feature ADAS Level 2 features. In addition, with the Hyundai SmartSense, the EV will boast 21 ADAS features as standard.
