Hyundai Motor India Exports Over A Lakh Of Cars In FY21

Hyundai Motor India (HMI) has said that it exported 104,342 cars in fiscal 2021. The company has also become the leading exporter of SUVs with over two lakh units of CRETA and VENUE shipped several overseas markets, including Mexico, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Nepal and Chile.

Hyundai Motor India (HMI) has said that it exported 104,342 cars in fiscal 2021. The company has also become the leading exporter of SUVs with over two lakh units of CRETA and VENUE shipped several overseas markets, including Mexico, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Nepal and Chile. 

HMI also commenced cars exports to Nepal through Railways from Walajabad Railway Hub near Irungattukkottai, Chennai. As the country’s largest exporter of automobiles, the company surpassed the three million vehicle export milestone earlier in January 2020, exporting to 88 countries. The company exports 32 countries in South America, 28 countries in Africa, 26 countries in Asia Pacific and one each in North America and Europe. .

A statement from the company said that HMI has won prestigious awards including seven EEPC National and five South Region Awards as Top Exporter of Year for Large Enterprise category.

The comapny currently exports 10 models such as – Atoz (Santro), Grand i10, Xcent, Grand i10 (NIOS & AURA), i20, Accent (Verna), Venue and Creta.
