Kia Sonet Surpasses 1.5 Lakh Unit Sales Mark In Two Years

Around 25% of the buyers for the SUV opt for the iMT option while 22% go for the automatic transmission option; about 26% of the buyers choose the top variants, while diesel models constitute over 41% of the sales.

South Korean carmaker Kia India announced that its compact SUV, Sonet, has surpassed the 1.5 lakh unit sales mark since its launch in 2020. The model currently contributes over 32% of the company’s total sales and has captured a 15% market share in the segment, a statement from Kia India noted.

Around 25% of the buyers of the SUV opt for the iMT option, while 22% go for the automatic transmission option. Around 26% of the buyers choose the top variants, while diesel models constitute over 41% of the sales for the model.

The two most preferred colour options for Sonet are Glacier White Pearl and Aurora Black Pearl, with a 44% contribution in the overall dispatches, the company said.

The company currently retails four vehicles besides the Sonet, including the Seltos, Carens, Carnival and the EV6.
