Škoda Auto Introduces Special Slavia, Kushaq Editions

Both the Škoda Slavia and Kushaq in their special edition form come exclusively with the 1.5L TSI engine option with the company’s lava blue colour option.

Škoda Auto India, as part of its one year celebration of the Slavia, has launched an ‘Anniversary Edition’ of the mid-size sedan. Alongside, the Kushaq SUV line-up too has got a new ‘Kushaq Edition’. Both the special edition products have been introduced in lava blue, Škoda’s signature colour.

The company said 99.9% of the 51,900 units it sold in India in 2022 comprised of the Kushaq and the Slavia. This is 127.7% more than what Škoda Auto India sold in 2021. Petr Šolc, Brand Director, Škoda Auto India acknowledged and said Kushaq and Slavia are instrumental in the company’s growth ambitions in India. 

Šolc said keeping the product range fresh and contemporary, in line with customer preferences, would play a pivotal role in the path towards growing the Škoda brand in 2023 and onwards. 

Product Changes 

With the new special edition, both the vehicles get mud-flaps in the front and rear, while the front grille ribs get a chrome finish. There is a chrome garnish along the lower part of the doors, and on the trunk as well. The C-pillar in the Slavia gets a foil with ‘Anniversary Edition’ branding, while the Kushaq carries an ‘Edition’ plaquette in the B-pillar. 

Priced at INR 17,27,999, ex-showroom, India for the 1.5 TSI MT variant and INR 18,67,999 for the 1.5 TSI DSG variant, the special editions sits at the top of the Slavia brand, while the Kushaq special edition starting at INR 17,99,000, ex-showroom, India for the 1.5L TSI MT variant, sits in between the Style and Monte Carlo trim levels.

On the inside, the Slavia special edition gets an ‘Anniversary Edition’ scuff plate, ‘Anniversary Edition’ badge on the steering wheel and aluminium pedals. The Kushaq, meanwhile, gets ‘KUSHAQ’ inscription on the scuff plates, pillows for the cabin and puddle lamps. 

Šolc added the company plans to bring in new special editions and product refreshments to the market on a regular basis and continue with its growth momentum.
