Mahindra has been riding on the success of multiple SUVs in its portfolio, be it the XUV range, Bolero range, Thar, or the Scorpio range. The brand, which anticipates a healthy spike in demand amidst new launches in the passenger vehicle segment, has now laid out its expansion plans for the coming years.

Mahindra’s monthly production at the end of FY22-23 stood at 39,000 units, which the company increased to 49,000 by the end of FY24. This will now be followed by another expansion of 15,000 units per month in FY24-25 and taken to a total of 72,000 units per month by FY25-26.

Notably, Mahindra will hike its SUV production capacity by 5,000 units this year to accommodate the Thar 5-door and XUV 3XO/400 in the current financial year. Furthermore, it will also account for 10,000 EVs that it plans to start producing by the end of the year, with a launch scheduled to take place at the start of CY25.
