Mahindra Launches XUV400 Electric SUV At 15.99 Lakh

Bookings for the vehicle will commence from January 26, 2023 while the deliveries are planned to begin from March for the EL trim level and during Diwali festive season for XUV400 EC.

Mahindra and Mahindra on Monday launched the XUV 400 starting at INR 15.99 lakh, ex-showroom India, for the base EC variant with 3.3 kW charging option. 

The EC variant with 7.2 kW charging option has been priced at INR 16.49 lakh, while the EL with the same charging option has been priced at INR 18.99 lakh. Prices are applicable on the first 5,000 bookings for each of the two variants.

Bookings for the vehicle will commence from January 26, 2023, while the deliveries are planned to begin from March for the EL trim level and during Diwali festive season for XUV400 EC.

In the first phase of deliveries, M&M plans to cover 34 cities nationally, including Ahmedabad, Surat, Jaipur, Mumbai MMR, Nasik, Verna (Goa), Pune, Nagpur, Bangalore, Chennai, Trivandrum, Cochin, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Delhi NCT, Kolkata, Dehradun, Coimbatore, Aurangabad, Bhubaneshwar, Kolhapur, Mysore, Mangalore, Vadodara, Patna, Calicut, Raipur, Ludhiana, Udaipur, Jammu, Guwahati, Lucknow, Agra, Indore.

The company aims to deliver 20,000 units of the XUV400 within a year of its launch, considering the challenges of the structural gap between the demand and supply of automotive-grade semiconductors and the availability of battery packs.

R Velusamy, President, Automotive Technology and Product Development, M&M said the company has leveraged Mahindra’s extensive R&D capabilities and has tested the vehicle globally under extreme weather conditions as well as its fast-charging compatibility (CCS) in multiple geographies, to ensure a seamless customer experience. 

The e-SUV gets powered by a 34.5 kWh battery in the EC variant while the EL trim level gets a 39.4 kWh battery pack. The 110 kW motor delivers 310 Nm of torque.

Available in five paint shade options – Arctic Blue, Everest White, Galaxy Grey, Napoli Black and Infinity Blue with dual tone option of Satin Copper, the SUV comes with a standard warranty of three years and an additional eight years or 160,000 km warranty for the battery and motor.
