Maruti Suzuki India on Wednesday announced that its Eeco has sold over ten lakh units to date since 2010. Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India, noted that Eeco dominates the van segment with over 94% market share.
Interestingly, the first five lakh sales milestone for the vehicle took eight years, while the following five lakh sales milestone was achieved in under five years, he added.
Available across 13 variants, including 5-seater, 7-seater, Cargo, Tour, and Ambulance, the Eeco is designed to cater to the needs of a wide range of customers.
The 1.2L Advanced K-Series Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine delivers a power output of 80.76 PS for petrol and 71.65 PS for CNG variants. The Eeco petrol delivers a claimed fuel efficiency of 20.20 kmpl, while the S-CNG Eeco has a fuel efficiency of 27.05 km/kg.
On the inside, the Eeco gets reclining front seats, cabin air filter (in A/C variants), and 11 safety features such as engine immobiliser, illuminated hazard switch, dual airbags, and ABS with EBD, among others.
