Mercedes-Benz

Mercedes-Benz India has announced that it has delivered 12,768 new cars from January to September’23, representing an 11% YoY growth.

A press release from the carmaker said that it has been witnessing an all-round demand for its products despite facing supply challenges in Q3.

The release added that demand for the TEV segment continues with GLS, S-Class, S-Class Maybach, GLS Maybach, AMGs and EQS witnessing top customer preference at a growth rate of 22% YTD with the LWB E-Class remaining the highest-selling model for Mercedes-Benz India.

The carmaker believes that the strong customer preference for the brand is driven by an attractive product portfolio and a seamless omni-channel customer journey experience created with the ‘Retail of the Future’ business model.

However, the company could not supply as per the full market potential, especially for new products like the GLC, though it is making every effort to fulfil customer expectations despite current supply chain challenges, said Santosh Iyer, MD and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India.

During the period, the company also collaborated with Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) to offer its customers exclusive experiences from the world of art, culture, fashion and luxury.

Sustainability Fest

In a bid to celebrate “sustainability day”, which is on 26 October, the OEM has dedicated October as ‘Sustainability Month’ with innovative initiatives planned to raise awareness of sustainability and sustainable practices.

Under this, Mercedes-Benz supports loyal customers keen to flip the switch from their ICE vehicles to BEV, offering them a Sustainability Loyalty Bonus for their transition into an EV.

In addition, it will support 50% of the road tax for any EQB, EQS and EQE SUV sold in October. The 50% support on the road tax is for those States where road tax is applicable at the time of registration of electric vehicles.

The company also hosts Golf Tournaments and Dinners with Michelin Star chefs across cities to provide an opportunity to engage customers, raise awareness about the company's sustainability goals and create thought-provoking conversations on the future of mobility.
