Nissan Appoints Frank Torres As President Of India Operations

The company has made several changes to its top management team, including the India division, which will take Nissan towards the Ambition 2030 vision.

The Japanese carmaker, Nissan India, announced the appointment of Frank Torres as the new President of Nissan India and Region Divisional Vice President for Business Transformation in the AMIEO region (Africa, Middle East, India, Europe and Oceania), replacing Sinan Özkök.

In addition, Torres will also be accountable for his current responsibilities of overseeing Nissan’s European Regional Business Unit East (Russia) and Spanish Industrial Operations, reporting to Guillaume Cartier, Nissan AMIEO Chairperson.

Torres joined Nissan in Spain in 2007 as a Production Engineering Analyst before becoming Managing Director for Nissan Motor Iberica (NMISA) in 2011, a release from the company said.

From 2016 he led Nissan Europe’s Overseas Programme Director’s Office before becoming head of Nissan’s European RBU East in 2019, taking responsibilities for Spanish Industrial Operations from 2020, before becoming Region Divisional Vice President for Business Transformation and Alliance in 2021, the release added.

Additionally, Sinan Özkök has been appointed Vice President for Marketing and Sales Transformation and Managing Director for Independent Markets, AMIEO, while Atsushi Najima, currently Managing Director Nissan Philippines, is appointed Nissan India Chief Financial Officer.

Replacing Mark Davidson, who moved back to MC Americas as CFO COMPAS manufacturing plant in Mexico, Najima will report directly to Mohamed Aly, Director Control AMIO.
